They provide 10 Gigabit Ethernet data links that allow you to make vital trunk connections or build larger sub-networks by merging different nodes together reliably.

The C3KX-NM-10G expansion module has two free small form factor plus (SFP+) slots and two free SFP mini-GBIC slots. The device's easy configurability allows network owners with their own port module preferences to mix and match the type of transceivers they use at will. The fact that the wired Cisco expansion module plugs in easily and secures in place with the two included captive installation screws means that it's easy to switch things out and make new connections without a fuss.
